A head building marked by ingenuity

The new head building at the GEALAN production site in Tanna, Thuringia, combines large glass surfaces together with smart ventilation.

The glass facade is a mix of aluminium and PVC elements: the mullion-and-transom structure can withstand wind and building loads and is lined with fixed glazed PVC windows and panels from the GEALAN S 9000 system in the colour GEALAN-acrylcolor® anthracite grey. The newbuild contains a cafeteria, a training workshop and offices. GEALAN-CAIRE® smart was installed to provide the best ventilation in the cafeteria in particular: the ventilation system creates ideal air conditions in the room either completely on its own or through user intervention, and it does this while making efficient use of energy through a heat-recovery system.
