Rosenstrasse comes alive again. "You couldn't have described it any better," said Chaplain Daniel Schmid when he blessed the new premises of the Academy for Social Pedagogy and the new Vocational school for child care in Rosenstraße in Furth im Wald. After their start in 2017, they are now accommodated in the former boys' school, which was built in 1886 and is now shining in new splendour after a general renovation. The LUMAXX system was used for the windows, which enables narrow views and is therefore particularly suitable for historic buildings.
The buildings are an ensemble of apartment buildings from the years 1910 - 1911 in Hamburg, Germany. The five-storey masonry buildings were built in the typical style of the Gründerzeit houses.
In 2012, the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy and Energy System Technology in Bremerhaven opened a new engineering building for testing rotor blades. The offices in the upper storeys are arranged in a wing-shaped layout and enjoy an impressive view of the North Sea.
